About this event

Annual Gathering of Peace of Mind Educators

Peace of Mind Conference 2024

The Work of Peace: Teaching Conflict Resolution in our Schools

Saturday, January 27th, 2024 in Washington D.C.

Peace of Mind will be gathering in person again this year for their 6th Annual Conference. They are looking forward to another meaningful day of sharing experiences, mutual learning, and friendship.

This year the focus will be on teaching peaceful conflict resolution in our schools. Participants will hear from teachers and school mental health professionals who are implementing Peace of Mind in their school communities.  They’ll explore how to teach conflict resolution in ways that actually work for kids using a foundation of mindfulness, brain science and social emotional skills. Based on feedback from past conferences, we’ve built in more time for small groups, relaxed conversation and reflection. Tasty box lunches from Bullfrog Bagels will be available once again; reserve yours when you register!

The agenda for the day includes two new options this year:

  • 9:30 am to 10:30 am EST: Mindfulness Session.

Find a sense of connection and support before we begin.

  • 11 am to 4 pm EST: Main Conference

Teaching Peaceful Conflict Resolution in our schools.

            Panels, Breakouts, Experiential Learning.

  • 5 pm to 7 pm EST: Dinner Gathering.

Join them after the conference for an informal gathering over dinner. Come to connect, reflect and relax after a full day.

All are welcome; Conference is Free.

The Conference will be most helpful to elementary and middle school educators interested in the Peace of Mind program and in mindfulness based social emotional learning more generally. All are welcome.

Note: This year their conference will be in person only. However, they will be recording the Main Conference and sharing the recordings of each segment during live webinars after the event so that all can have access.
