National Portrait Gallery: A Day of Action

  • National Portrait Gallery 800 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

About this event

Activate and uplift! Get inspired and find your voice! Art is activism and portraiture is powerful. Honor the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and his commitment to community action by joining the Portrait Gallery and our partners for A Day of Action.

Geared toward mobilizing teens and young adults but open to all, this event featuring local social justice partner organizations and community groups will empower visitors. Learn from change-makers who are doing the work and be inspired by the activists highlighted in the Portrait Gallery’s exhibitions “The Struggle for Justice” and “Forces of Nature: Voices that Shaped Environmentalism.”
