About this event

Mark your calendar for the annual 2023 Indigenous Peoples' Day Curriculum Teach-In on Saturday, September 30, 2023. This year, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) and Teaching for Change are excited to host an in-person event at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. 

Teachers from all over are invited to attend a keynote and two rounds of interactive workshops focused on the theme of native education. Staff members from NMAI and Teaching for Change and K–12 teachers will offer workshops for teaching about Indigenous peoples’ histories and their experiences around native education. All registrants will be sent resources from all workshops after the event.
