Please join us for a D.C. Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action Curriculum Fair, co-hosted by Howard University's School of Education, on Tuesday, January 21 from 5:00-7:30pm at Howard University (2565 Georgia Avenue NW). Teachers will have the opportunity to:
Browse books and lessons related to the BLM at School Week of Action
Participate in mini-workshops and table discussions
Receive a FREE book and other materials for use in their classroom
Receive a copy of the 1619 Project booklet
Enter a raffle to win a set of two tickets to see the play Pipeline at Studio Theatre
Registration and Book Browsing
Please plan to arrive between 5:00 and 5:30PM to allow ample time to browse books (you will choose one to take home after you complete your evaluation), have a snack, and meet key organizations, including Shout Mouse Press, D.C. Historical Society, Social Justice Printmaking, Howard University School of Education, Empower DC, and An Open Book Foundation.

Directions to Miner Hall at Howard University
Miner Hall is located at 2565 Georgia Avenue between Georgia Avenue and 6th Street NW at Euclid Street.
The entrance to Miner Hall is on the south side of the building, up a flight of wooden stairs. From Georgia Avenue, walk up the stone staircase to the right to the south side of the building.
There is metered parking available along Georgia Avenue and 6th Street.
Metro: Shaw/Howard University (Green Line); 70 bus line.

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided. An elevator lift is available at Miner Hall.
